Join us for a guided exploration of the sandhill and pine flatwoods ecosystems of Black Creek Ravines Conservation Area in Clay County.

This floristically rich site supports a remarkable diversity of native wildflowers. Along the trail, we’ll be on the lookout for endemic Indian plantain (Arnoglossum floridanum), endangered Bartram’s ixia (Calydorea caelestina) and the striking Tuberous grasspink orchid (Calopogon tuberosus).

This moderately difficult hike will take us over varied terrain, including sandy and loose gravel trails, with the potential for wet and mucky conditions. Appropriate footwear, sun protection and insect repellent are recommended.

Registration is free for Florida Wildflower Foundation members and $10 for non-members. Email Rose Kinane to find out if your membership is current or needs to be renewed. To join as a member, visit www.FlaWildflowers.org/membership.
