October 21 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm

Join us on Wednesday, October 21 at 2pm for our webinar “Fragrant Native Plants for Your Yard” presented by Advanced Florida Master Naturalist Barb J. Wyskowski

Fragrant native plants bring biodiversity to your garden while also providing delightful scents. Take your landscape to the next level with a sensory-rich garden that can reduce stress and create a tranquil atmosphere with natural aromatherapy — all while attracting beneficial insects, birds and moths, and supporting local ecosystems.

A person in a cap and brown shirt bends down, smiling, and gestures toward small plants in a sunny, outdoor garden area.

Presenter:

Barb J. Wyskowski is an Advanced Florida Master Naturalist, having completed all core courses as well as the Land Steward and Restoration courses in the University of Florida’s Master Naturalist program. She is also a Florida Friendly Landscaping Certified Professional. A landscape designer and native plant geek, Barb spends her days designing outdoor spaces that are specifically tailored to the unique characteristics and fluctuations of Florida’s dynamic ecosystems using design elements such as berms, swales and native grasses to enhance the natural water retention of the landscape and prevent erosion. By mimicking natural processes and incorporating sustainable landscaping practices, she creates resilient and biodiverse ecosystems that benefit both the environment and the local flora and fauna. She is a firm believer that scent is an important part of the landscape — just as important as color and texture.

This webinar will be recorded and available on our website 48 hours after the event. A link will be sent to all those who register. Only the first 500 attendees will be able to enter the webinar; if we reach capacity before you join, you can view the recording that will be emailed to you.
