Want to help preserve the Panhandle’s roadside wildflowers? Plan to join the Florida Wildflower Foundation for the annual meeting of the Panhandle Wildflower Alliance from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6. The meeting will be held at the Florida Department of Transportation auditorium, 205 Suwannee St., Tallahassee.

FDOT District 3 staff will share wildflower management changes that will positively impact the 16 counties that have adopted wildflower resolutions, from Escambia to Jefferson counties. There also will be a reception to honor Eleanor Dietrich, who retired as the Foundation’s PWA/FDOT liaison in July, and to introduce Liz Sparks, the new liaison.

The meeting is open to the public. RSVP via Facebook, or email liz.aparks@gmail.com.
