Join Foundation Board Member CJ McCartney on Saturday March 4 for a morning wildflower walk and afternoon wildflower planting at the Palm Beach County Natural Areas Festival.

Wildflower Walk, 10:30 am: Discover the spring wildflowers and pollinators of Winding Waters Natural Area. Explore the relationships between butterflies, other pollinators, birds and the native plants in this natural habitat with CJ McCartney and Environmental Resource Management (ERM) biologists.

Wildflower Planting, 12:00 pm: Let’s plant a wildflower garden at Winding Waters Natural Area. This wildflower planting focuses on some of the important native plants that thrive in shade and are naturally occurring in this area. All supplies and plants will be provided. Just show up, be prepared to get your hands dirty, and leave a lasting legacy.

These activities are part of the week-long Palm Beach County Natural Areas Festival, which includes free guided events in some of the county’s natural areas, and a main event on Saturday, March 4 from 8:00 am – 2:00pm featuring environmental exhibitors​, guided hikes, kayak tours, wildlife presentations, kids zone, burn demo, an appearance by Smokey Bear, food trucks, and more!
